I'm a monic fan....

Monic's got a new line called the "Backcountry" Line.. It's not clear, it is actually a light blue color and has a great taper that lays down real soft. The taper is similar to a bonefish taper (same taper as the all clear line). Monic is working on making that same backcountry line for me with a heavier front taper for turning over bigger flies at short distances (much like a tarpon taper)...should be the same taper as the Monic Tropical Seamless clear tip (green line). All lines are full floating. I've been using the Monic backcountry line in all conditions for the past few months and absolutely love it for times when you don't need a clear line.
