Hi ,
Well, to throw in my 2 cents here...alot of boats use the hulls from other boats...SK16 was actually an old 17 Mako.
Ive had both the 16 and 18 SK's from the good old days when Mark Scott built them. At the time they were very very good hulls, but today, they are dated. There are alot of other boats out there i would pick over each today.
The 16, while great for Tarpon, was an annoyingly noisey hull to pole shallow, we called her old slappy, and the 18 was a workout to pole. i loved them both , but progress in hull designs have left the famous Silverking in the past. And from what i see of the bottom, there is no resemblence in this new HB Boca to either.
Actually looks to me like a Marquesa split down the center, widened a bit, less deadrise, and then shaved 5 inches or so off the freeboard

Looking forward to seeing this new boat! The boat show pics look nice, though id rather have a more traditional tower over the back.
