| Fishin' with Dad
Took the yaks out to the river with Dad yesterday. Storms on the horizon yielded a spectacular sunrise..... ![]() I scored early with a hard fighting 19"er..... ![]() I called IrlyRiser for some advice and while talking a giant redfish tail broke water not 20 feet ahead. I cast to him and recieved a strike. Hook set, a lighter than expected tug, and a small 10" trout breached. I expressed my dissapointment to IrlyRiser, when suddenly the reel began screaming. The giant red had eaten the trout! The fish turned back and flashed under the yak, easily this red was in the 40" range. 3 good runs and the line went slack. I retrieved this mangled trout and took the posthumous pic for proof. ![]() All in all a beautiful day, one red, one fish story, many trout. The icing on the cake was a ringside view of the NASA 747 landing with the space shuttle on it's back. Life is good! |
