[QUOTE=thefly;16256]George , Truly an awesome bit of kit this , thanks for taking the time to send me all the photo's man, once I researched the materials list for their individual component merits, then it all began to sink in, just about all the materials are made by DuPont , no wonder you have the guy's from DuPont down there hanging around on a daily basis. Once you understand the individual components, then amalgamate them together then you have a skiff that is more than the sum of its parts. I look forward to seeing you when I fly in from London next month, will bring my cheque book. regards Thanks Mark, we look forward to meeting you as well. |

Look at the waterline with two guys in the boat, the 90 2 stroke is 261, the 115 Yam is 358, thats 97 more pounds. I don't think the transom will go down half as far as this. Something to compare, I weigh 180 and Hal is 240, thats a 60 pound difference. | |

So what your saying, in essence is, Hal needs to eat more salad ! For me, I will be fishing on my own 80% of the time and I'm the same build as your George, so for me the 90 Yam 4 stroke will be the best of both worlds. Although the 60 Yam 4 stroke is enough, if it tops out at 40 now, without fine tuning the prop, then it should cruise well at 30 ish, which is more than enough unless your fishing tourny's. |

This forum has to some extent become Chitben Water. But keep it up. The photos you post are great and show what you're talking about and you don't seem to be dodging questions about draft, weight and speed. Finally a boat for the Large pork sandwich eater at Louis BBQ. Interested to get it on a scale and put a ruler at the transom to see how close you end up coming to the earlier weights and measure prediction. Another thing,,, How the hell doesn't your transom squat with a 180lb guy poling all alone? Good job |

Is there any truth to the rumor I heard that Hal Chittum is in the process of buying either Louis BBQ or JB's ? Sounds strange but I've heard it from 2 people in 2 days and these are usually no BS people. ???????
