Spanish Fly, Jose Wejebe Trip

recently we got a call from jose wejebe about doing a "spanish fly" episode on our backyard (banana river)

it was one of the coolest things i think i will ever be able to do with my family. although the days were long and i'm sure alden was stretched to his patience level... we caught some nice fish.

i was glad i had good friend mike with us, not only as camera boat but being able to discuss each fishing option with him took alot of pressure off me.

Brandon hooked us up with "big blue" for the shoot which was perfect considering we were fishing 4 people. thanks again brandon.

some of the highlights for me was finding a big school of hungry redfish... after catching one and passing out high fives we left them to look for different species.
jose said "who wants to watch us sit and beat up on a school of breeders" i just thought this was a cool lesson for my kid.

we caught snook, black drum, bluefish, redfish, trout and jack crevalle during the shoot.

i just wanted to share a handful of pictures of our experience.
Doing interview.
Alden fishing with jose on point.
local kid fishing "bum" doing his interview.
Mike cutting up bait to feed fish at locks.
relaxing after it was all done.

sorry billy we didn't make it up your way...thanks again for being on standby!
