Northern Wisconsin report
I just got back from my annual walleye fishing trip in northern <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com /><st1:State w:st=</st1:State><ST1:pWisconsin</ST1:p. We vertical jigged 2” minnows in 25-40 feet of water, in Big Saint Germain lake and Flambeau lake. Our first drop of our first day my friend Phil raps into a monster. Defying all odds, he boated 40” musky with 6# mono, no leader.
Over the course of three days we caught a bunch of walleye, drank a lot of beer, told a bunch of fish stories, and created a few stories for next year. Here is my best fish, 25” about 5lbs.
