St Lucie Snookin' Vol 3
Mike and I have been fishing St Lucie the past few weeks on the prowl for big snook.

Mike wanted to take a shot a the FSFA General Tackle club record which was 22 pounds and has been on the books for 11 years, I agreed to help and that was our number one goal.

First fish of the day, a slack tide, dirty water… a well-placed sardine gets slammed. The fight becomes frantic as the big fish heads straight to the rocks trying to get around the corner. I fired the boat up and move it enough that the 30# power pro stays off the exposed rocks. A couple blistering runs, a couple head shaking jumps and the big girl is subdued.

30 pounds on a certified scale, a couple quick pics, a few minutes of reviving and she swims off strong. We finished off the morning with another half dozen fish in the 6-8 pound class, made it home in time for lunch and to celebrate with a couple cold cerveza.

:snook:Mission complete
