New HB Boat - w pics (page2)

Ive heard that there may be a new Marquesa out, or in the works. One without the buckets on the transom, and a few inches more beam. can anyone verify this ? any pictures would be great!

Fly Fishing in Salt Waters - Hell's Bay 18 Marquesa

Capt Billy Rotne 01-23-2008 08:27 AM

A buddy of mine just sold his HB guide and is about to pull the trigger on the marquesa.

I havent heard about a new version though.

What I really want to see more of is the biscayne. I have seen Capt Dale Perez's in person up close and one the water and it is a sweet skiff! With the same motor as my skiff it blows me away, and my boat is pretty fast.

Biscayne is even faster in a heavy chop than my skiff. Way deeper entry.

They are both still drier(even the back hatches) and dont rattle apart in a chop like a Sterling!:p

Yeah, thats the marquesa my buddy is looking at.

IRLyRiser 01-23-2008 09:35 AM

Sterling sucks. That is a nice looking boat your buddy is looking at.

Capt Billy Rotne 01-23-2008 09:42 AM

Yeah, his guide was one of the last broderick built boats. If he gets it, which I am about 85% sure he will, it should be a great skiff.

My knees would never fit behind the center console on that thing. I think I'll keep my tiller.

Capt Billy Rotne 01-23-2008 10:00 AM

You cant drive a tiller at 55mph.:p
