Chittum 18 Construction

I have had a number of calls about the materials in this skiff, they all want to know how we achieved the 400 pounds. Thought I would post here, its built with the following.
Carbon Fiber
Core Cell
Aerospace Grade Epoxy
3 stage vacuum consolidation
Post Cured to 200 degrees

Here are a few shots of the work in progress. Bow shot showing carbon before primer and the impregnator, used to get the exact resin ratios. This is Bob Branham's boat, should be done in two or three weeks.

Is the Chittum 18 a Hell's Bay model?

No, not a Hells Bay model, a completely different company, completely different design, materials and construction process.

We really do need to get a web site up and explain the whole thing in detail, this is a start.
