Flamingo Trip

I'll be joining JaySea in his boat. Separate tent. if you have to reserve tent spaces. Looking forward to the trip. I see some of you are part of JB crowd MWK introduced me to when I was boat shopping. Got an Osprey.

If everything goes as planned I will be stepping off the plane in Miami Friday night fresh from surfing and fishing in Nicaragua and heading to meet everyone. Looking forward to it. I may even bring along a pretty lady so Sam has someone to take some pictures of holding fish.

JaySea and I are new to the group's camping trips. We see that Lee is bring a smoker and food. We're looking forward to the group meals. What meals are they? We are assuming we'll be responsible for our own breakfast and lunches. We'll be getting there and fishing early Friday afternoon. Lee, are you cooking Friday dinner? Please advise.

We've not fished there before and are gathering whatever intelligence we can regarding baits and areas to fish. I've talked to a guide who says expect murky water, fish stinky and noisy lures. Fish slow. Don't get caught by the dropping tides. Watch out for the sharks lurking under or near your boat. "Don't lip fish, use a net, or you could lose a finger!!"

Dont want to speak for him, but as of this moment it looks as if Jason and I may miss this trip afterall. My grandfather passed this weekend and the funeral is looking to be next weekend. If in fact we do not make it, hope yall have as much fun as last year's trip..

I called the campground today at (239) 695-0124, and talked to a warm body. They said the marina store is open and they sell gas, ice, frozen bait (no live bait), coffee, juice, milk, steaks, food etc.

I mentioned that we have a group of 12-15 tent campers coming down next weekend, but did not make a reservation.
