Moving My 80gallon

Hi,

I'm moving next weekend and was thinking individually bag each fish and each plant with a damp paper towel. then drain the tank, but leave the canister sealed and full. then remove the sand ( I'm thinking about getting new substrate but not sure if that's a good idea during a move). once tank is empty move it fill it with new substrate and water that has prime and is at 80 degrees. then float the fish and hope all goes well...and thought or ideas would be great?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
