I have seen a few of the tunnel Osprey in the Nine Mile Hole, and they looked good. But for a guide, the limited storage could be a problem.

I have a Guide 18 non-tunnel with a jack plate and think it is a great boat for me, with tons of storage, very stable, and fairly dry and poleable. It has an anti-cav plate, and runs plenty shallow for me in the NMH.

I would definitely talk to Tim Clancey before I bought a Beavertail or another skiff. He is introducing his poling skiff this winter, and it will have a tunnel. I think it is a little longer than my Guide which will help in our bays like Baffin and Aransas.

Good Luck.
