Just got the Fly Fishing in Saltwater mag and see that there is a review on the new Boca G saw this skiff in person few months back and took a shot of it, thought I would post it and make an observation. The transom was almost under water so I asked if every thing was ok. The mag states it was built with e-glass kevlar and carbon fiber I would guess it should float a lot higher than that. The pic in the mag is a lot different then my pic. |

Ok one more and than its over for me on this skiff. These sponsons have to go, there only for when you build a boat to heavy and need to cover you ***. Design a skiff properly and you don't need them, they get you wet and make noise as well as harder to spin.

I've been on one of these and as your average big guy (210lbs) I thought the boat was going down.I stood by the aft quarter to take a leak and my shoes filled up. Also any stray boat wake rolls right in. Aren't those sponsons supposed to make the boat float higher????Looks like a dead end with this boat. Maybe Tom Gordon can help out over there.

You win some, you lose some I guess. Was the Marquesa bad enough to need another boat so similar in design to it? I wonder why they wanted to go with a new design, I always have heard the Marquesa was a good design.

Hmmmmmm....new member names...from the same old IP 's ....fighting about who's ,overly priced ,much discussed boat , better that anything in the boating world ....silent , fast , shallow , light ....all the important things ...'cept....haven't heard one claim about catching fish . Lots of boats catch fish ....Billy's old AquaForce caught one hell of a lot of fish...J&G caught a ton of fish in his Carolina Skiff...I know , I was with him a few times ....My Stumpy has been known to stumple on a fish or two ..and I know that Mikey's BT was been the proud possesor or some really big Trout and Redfish .Maybe it's time to start bragging on the boat owners ( that's where the real talent lays ) instead of the boats themselves .
