I saw that boat and spoke to the owner. The the top cap and floor had been painted. The hull is lightly faded but in decent condition; just a few nicks on the keel and the usual scratches. It has a low houred 2007 50 Merc 20" shaft on a 5" alum bracket to make the 20" shaft work. He is asking $16,000. His number is (305) 393-0900. |

Thanks ya'll. I need one of these skiffs in my garage to remind me of my FL after moving to Illinois. I'll be poling it on some of the shallowater lakes in the spring for bass and will head to FL for poons in june/july.

I have a Whipray. Love it. I have a 40 Merc. on mine, don't love it. I have had it rebuilt once and still a few problems. It poles like a dream. I fish with a friend on his Hells Bay Guide 18. I love it too, particularly if you are fishing more than two people. Saw these and thought I would pass them along. 2004 Hells bay -------REDUCED----------- 2001 Hells Bay Professional |

A 2001 16 Waterman is on Florida Sportsman for 13,500.00. I've owned a 16 Waterman, 17.8 Whipray and now an 18 Guide, they're all great boats and serve their own purposes, but i must say, i miss having the little 16 back in the shallows. Good luck!

Thanks for all the help here. I am planning on taking a hard look at doing a new ECC Caimen in the next few weeks and will most likely buy it as it will imo give a bigger bang for the buck than a used whipray. FL ![]() |
