I'm going to look at a Marquesa w/a 48" open array radar on the poling platform tomorrow. If it should somehow fall through, I may be interested.

This skiff is gorgeous! If I could have afforded it I would have bought it months ago, it is guide skiff green with a creamish colored deck and loaded with all the cool toys. It has a brand new ETEC and is on a removable tongue trailer and has been garage kept. It also had every scratch etc, buffed out by HB. I was about 10K$ short so I bought a HPX17V and have been very happy with it but if I had a money tree this would have been mine. If you want a new Marquesa for a huge discount, a new one loaded like this is pushing 60K$ this is your boat! I sold my ECC on this site and never dealt with any idiots!

Think the point of my post was missed, this guy has a great boat for sale and this used to be a great place to market your skiff for free to the right audience. I have owned more than one of all these boats and they are all great in my opinion, without having all the great manufacturers to choose from we would all suffer because they have all pushed each other to make a better product each year and we as anglers get the real benefits!

What is wrong with sponsons? I have heard the it makes it a little harder to turn when poling but that would not keep me from buying.

Everything in boating is a trade-off. It amazes me how people can bash things the way they do, in this case sponsons. I have sponsons on my 2001 HB, do I sometimes wish they weren't there, sure. But other times when I am poling over a VERY shallow bar to get to fish I love them. Yes, sponsons add to the shallow draft of boats.

I have heard that as well and your right about things being a trad-off. As far as looks, I like them.
