Nice ride. There's no reason you won't love it.

I've got a HB 16' side console, but a buddy of mine has your ride. I've fished a lot out of it.

Best, bill

How fast will that 90 push it?
Well, the merc 60 went about 36mph or so at 6k, cruised at 27mph, w/14 pitch smallfoot. the holeshot was fine if just fly fishing...but with a baitwell full and passenger...kinda terdy, but ok. just have them up front for take off.

Yam 90 does about 43(still need a better prop), but whats really nice, the cruise is now almost as fast as it was at WOT. and holeshot is outstanding.

but fuel burn is almost double! i went from 3 gallons a day to almost 6
both motors weight the same (258 vs 261)...

Youll love the 60 Merc, its a good motor, and quiet.

Have fun...

Sweeeeeeet .......... boat

Couple questions if you don't mind. What power winch do you have.

Mine came with a worn out power winch 215. Swapped it to a 315, that still doesn't seem to work very well. Might go back to the good ole hand crank.... ..

Do the rod holders on the console get in the way. Thinking about adding some just can't figure out if there's enough room.

Winch is the 315. (old 704 model i think) some work good some dont, seems like they need better quality control. ive been through a few. its nice not having to put the rims in the water, just the tires. Keeps the trailer nice too.

The rod holders are very flush design and dont get in my way. now if there are rods in there, with something like 4000 shimanos, they will get in your way, but its no biggie, just be careful when walking by. but it is tight. I drive from that side anyway, so its usually me walking there.

i Fly fish 90% of the time so they make a nice Boga Grip, Plier and cell phone holder for me

Sweet Skiff! I bet you like the yammie better than the merc huh?

You gotta get the bigger one. I have the model above the one you just bought but I cant think of the number off the top of my head. It works pretty well.

basically,i like the horsepower bump i made, 60 to 90, and ive always been a Yamie man, but many friends have the Merc 2 -stroke 90 on Marquesa and its great too - its alot bigger 90, in cubic inches and balls.

The winch works fine - np

Maybe someday soon ill make it over to the Goon and we can hookup for a beer
