01/04/07 Econ action part deux

After we got off shift today, Scupper and I decided to flyfish the Econ at Jay Blanchard park. Josh just got a new 4 weight for christmas and wanted to break it in. Break it in he did, first fish was a 2 lb bass!

The action slowed some, but we both managed a few panfish.

On the paddle back to the launch, we passed a nice strike near the shore. The small popper was too much for Mr. Bass to resist.

Great morning and another angler hopelessly addicted to the fly.

Awesome, I've only put my yak in once over at blanchard park and it was more about paddling around then catching fish, i always see people fishing from shore but never see anyone catch anything. Look like a nice calm day to try the fly rod out.
