11/13/2011 Indian River

I took a solo mission sunday morning. I was greeted by any empty boat ramp and an amazing sunrise.

I launched at the Port St. John ramp and fished the east side of the indian river. The fishing was good, I caught 3 trout from about 2.5 to 4 lbs, a lower slot red, and then as I was trolling motoring out to deeper water to go try a new area I saw a nice wake. Turned out to be this guy.

All the fish were caught on a zara spook pup, DOA shrimp, or Gulp! jerkbait. The water is starting to clean up nice and there is alot of mullet, some really big, up on the flats.
