Salt is the Enemy!

Salt is the #1 enemy to your boat, electronics and your tackle. One step in keeping salt from invading your tackle storage is to build a Quarentine tub--

A simple tupperware rigged with some suction cups from the hardware store. Drill the tupperware to receive the ends of the suction cups. Then, silicone caulk the ends to help hold them. Drill a few small drain holes and your done.

Salty tackle that has been used during the day is put into the tub until they can be soaped and rinsed at the end of the trip. Once dried, the tackle can be oiled, sharpened, etc, and put back into the tackle box.

Great Idea.
I have a little bigger version using a 5 gallon bucket.
All trolling lures go in the bucket along with all the other used tackle.
A plus to having a 5 gallon bucket on a smaller trailer boat is it can be used to bail water in case of emergency.
