As you could tell I ended up soaking bait, it was actually my little guy's first fishing trip on the "boat", got a couple cats but he was excited, that and gathering the shrimps out of the Bait bucket.

Sorry you could not have pulled over for a few to chat. Would liked to have met Alden and Tyler.

Went back out after lunch and hit the canals you guys went back too and the flat out front, saw 1 Red and ALOT of Rays. Hooked up late evening on what I think was a Red, pushing a big wake, but hook pulled out.
yes we caught fish on the first stop. they weren't eating great for us. but lucked out on a couple. my friend Kenny lives down that canal, we dropped by to look at some fish mounts. next time hopefully i will have some time to chat. thanks again for the piece of wood!

Gotcha... no problem, next time. 1st house on the left with the big dock/deck, you had told me that before. I went back there Friday night, opening of canal was about a foot deep as you probably saw. Later Saturday evening while heading out to the flat an old 21' Boston Whaler went thru there and powered himself thru that cut, so it is probably a little deeper now .
