Big redfish, Banana Rvier

Tyler (castaway custom) invited alden and i fishing this morning. the river was slick calm and perfect. we saw tons of fish all morning. very lethargic.

i finally got one to eat a fly but pulled it off and we got one pig redfish.

thank you tyler for a great morning, sorry we had to cut it so short.

we are on our way to the monster truck jam.

Nice Derek. Where did you catch that thing, one of the places you told me to go in the BR ?

As you could tell I ended up soaking bait, it was actually my little guy's first fishing trip on the "boat", got a couple cats but he was excited, that and gathering the shrimps out of the Bait bucket.

Sorry you could not have pulled over for a few to chat. Would liked to have met Alden and Tyler.

Went back out after lunch and hit the canals you guys went back too and the flat out front, saw 1 Red and ALOT of Rays. Hooked up late evening on what I think was a Red, pushing a big wake, but hook pulled out.
