BoldWater Giving Thanks Holiday.

this holiday i was humbled with the generosity of family and friends.

not to mention the time off from work was much needed.

here's the highlights.

wed. afternoon as family arrived from out of town i managed 7-8 small tarpon... 2 of which i caught on fly (thanks ChuckD)

later a meeting set with Alex Gorichky III turns into an evening sightfishing session aboard his hewes.

we had several breath holding moments casting to redfish, snook and trout. (thanks alex)

next morning (thanksgiving day) straight to the NMZ with Brandon.

skitterwalks thrown at sunrise produced a few strikes.

our morning resulted in a few trout and saw a kayak angler catch a nice redfish on fly.
(thanks for an awesome morning on the river brandon)

back at casa del boldwater aaron arrives in his holiday best... the 3 of us cast at tarpons...brandon jumps one on fly.

aaron catches a decent one.

dad finally gets his first.

we catch a few more then time to eat.

after a thanksgiving feast aaron and i head off to the banana river to pull our crab traps and then to the locks for some trout and bluefish action.

we head home and sit by the fire and drink a few beers toasting our day.

aaron later passes out to a nice cozy bag of doritos

the next day is early up, huge breakfast and straight to fishing.

back for lunch then go check our traps and hit the bridges to fish for black drum.

no success on black drums but killed the blue crabs again.

more family arrives and we have a post thanksgiving seafood feast.

aaron and i head back out fishing most of the evening in 25 knot north wind... a long cold idle home.

next morning back to fishing.

we call it an early day around noon.

scorn gets the love she longed for. (thanks larry)

monday back to work...wishing i was fishing.

(thanks aaron for putting up with us for the holiday)
