Staining Wood

With all the rain lately and lack of fishing, I decided to take on a new project and stain a piece of furniture i have. I had never attempted something like this but was quite pleased with the result.

Phase I: sanding.

Phase II: first coat of stain

Phase III: placement

Phase IV: Finished

It was difficult getting decent pictures, but you get the general idea. Given our inherent humidity in Florida, it took quite a while in the garage to dry..like nearly 2 weeks!! I'm quite happy with the result and can't wait to do it again!

Cabinet looks good, but you really shouldn't stain when the humidity is so high..i.e. raining.
