Refuge crab traps

Any of you guys participating in the crab trap cleanup on Aug 15th? I heard Hells Bay was helping in some fashion and some guides.

I guess not. So how did that refuge adopt an area cleanup go? nothing?

I haven't heard anything about it? Can you confirm...

There was a statewide plan to have all crabbers pull their pots and then everything left was considered abandoned. Knew there was to be a date set, but haven't seen details.

Is this the Refuge's plan. More details.

Happy to clean some up.

Here's an e-mail from the refuge that should give you enough details. FWC and USFWS, It's on aug 15th. at Haulover canal. The crabbers must have their traps out of the water from the 10th till the 20th.

Tom Van Horn is the owner of The Coastal Angler magazine, Greater Orlando Edition. He is going to donate a page in his magazine to advertise the Crab Trap Clean Up. Thanks Tom!

Duke and Chris P and John T., can you send him a logo so he can publish it as a supporter of the event?

Chris M, do you have an official CCA logo? If so, see above.

Stan, I've asked Tom list you as the POC for the event for us. Tom, Stan's phone number is 321-861-8165 office, 321-863-6208 cell.

Eric and Scott, On the same page, Tom would like advertise the ffice:smarttags" />lace w:st="on">Volusia Countylace> clean up that I'm assuming the Park is hosting. I'm not sure who your POC is going to be, but can you have them make contact with Tom so he can have the proper info; dates and time?

Chris P. I guess you will need logos too? Where would you like them send? You or Wendi?

Lastly, if you even have an inkling of how many folks will be participating in the event, could you please let BOTH me and Stan know. Hell's Bay is going to provide t-shirts and needs a number, and MIWA is hosting lunch and could use a round about number.
