Pretty crazy fishing up there.
I saw all kinds of crazy rockfish when diving for those abs in Mendicino. I was in no more than 20' of water the whole time and saw Chinas, blues, johnny bass, cabezon, greenling and several I couldn't i.d...

Ling cod

Here's a nice ling caught in 75' of water off the Coronado Islands on a salas 7x in blue and white.

Here's a Vermilion Rockfish, 8.5 pounds. Caught at Santa Rosa Island on a swimbait.



Here is Martin with another Lingcod and me with the same Vermilion.

My buddy Jimmy's yellow eye. This dude works for NOAA on a fisheries research vessel. He gets paid to fish!!!




Oh and it was less than 3lbs shy of the all tackle world record...
