West Coast Bottom Fish!

I think the Right Coasters have us beat for size of bottom fish, but I think we make up for it in variety.

Post your best Bottom/Rockfish shots in this thread.

This is a lingcod I caught in Prince Rupert BC.

Actually Lora caught it, it came off at the surface and I was able to free gaff it as it was turning around!

I had to throw it in the boat because it was so green.

Nothing like a 35# Lingcod going Apesheet on the deck of a small boat!

This is a Cow Cod. Usually caught between 35-80 Fathoms.
They are considered Endangered in California due to over fishing by the commercial fleet.
We catch them consistently in Mexico only miles away.
Rigging is a dropper loop with a 3/0 to 6/0 hook and 10-16oz torpedo sinker on 50lb spectra with short 50lb mono topshot

Vito, SCI 2006- BOCCACIO(Sebastes Paucispinis/Stink bombs)

A healthy mixture!!! Boccacio, Vermillions, BarberPole (Sebastes rubrivinctus), Kelp Rockfish (Sebastes Atrouirens)

Before Dinner!!!

& finally, dinner time!!!

"China Rockfish" That's super cool, is it the same as a Black & Yellow (sebastes chrysomelas)? Did Ali catch that one up North?
How about a Cabezon, those are really *****en aswell, who has a pick?

Caught that in Canada wiht about a million other assorted rock fish.

It was a fish a cast.

Pretty crazy fishing up there.
