Be careful where you put a Gumbo. Near a boat, when it buds you WILL hate the mess. Near a house, you WILL hate the mess, those things leave stains like you wouldn't believe. Also, they will ruin the foundation of your house if not careful.

If you are ever in the Keys, stop by and I will lop off as big a branch as you can carry. All you have to do is stick it in the ground and it will grow(instant tree). Though once started from a seed they get along pretty quickly as well.

As native trees down here they are very tolerant of anything, drought included. They look very funny when you just stick a log in the ground, but you would be amazed at how they take off.

If you ever decide to kill the thing you must get the roots or it will be back!
